These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mìlàájé website and all associated services, features, content, applications, and products (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our Service. By accessing or using any part of the Service, you signify your irrevocable agreement to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

Mìlàájé is a dedicated online platform designed to foster connection among verified members of the LGBTQ+ community across Africa. Our primary objective is to create a safe, supportive, and authentic environment for individuals within this community. The Service operates on a stringent verification system to ensure the integrity and safety of its members.
2. Membership and Verification
2.1. Verification Requirement Access to the core features of the Mìlàájé platform requires successful verification. This verification process involves the issuance of a unique 4-digit code upon successful registration and payment of a mandatory membership fee.
2.2. Verification Process To initiate the verification process, navigate to the "Join Community" section on our homepage at milaaje.org and follow the prompts. The verification process typically takes between 24 hours and two weeks. During this period, Mìlàájé conducts comprehensive background checks on prospective members to ensure their suitability and safety for the community. This rigorous process is implemented to mitigate risks and enhance the safety of all verified members, especially given the socio-political climate surrounding the LGBTQ+ community in Africa.
2.3. Purpose of Verification The verification system is integral to the safety and security of our community. By connecting only with verified members, the likelihood of harmful interactions is significantly reduced. This approach distinguishes Mìlàájé from other online platforms, emphasizing safety and authentic connections over widespread, unverified access.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible to use the Mìlàájé Service, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. By accessing or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and possess the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
4. Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Mìlàájé account information, including your unique 4-digit Mìlàájé code and any other credentials. You agree to take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access to your account. You must notify Mìlàájé immediately of any unauthorized use of your account, any breach of security, or any suspicion thereof. Mìlàájé cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this Section.
5. Membership Fee and Community Support
5.1. Mandatory Contribution While initial registration may be accessible, all users are required to pay a mandatory, affordable one-time membership fee to gain full access to and join the Mìlàájé community.
5.2. Allocation of Funds The membership fees collected are strategically allocated to five (5) core areas that directly benefit the LGBTQ+ community and support the Service's mission:
- Advocacy: A significant portion is dedicated to advocacy efforts, providing support and resources to LGBTQ+ individuals in African countries facing stricter legal and social environments.
- Empowerment: Funds are used to engage professionals globally to offer knowledge-sharing sessions and skill development programs, empowering members with valuable skills for personal and community benefit.
- Community Maintenance: This covers the operational costs associated with maintaining the Mìlàájé platform, ensuring its continuous availability, security, and functionality.
- Awareness: Resources are allocated to initiatives aimed at raising awareness and fostering understanding of LGBTQ+ issues.
- Operational Costs: General operational expenses necessary for the sustained delivery of the Service.
6. Prohibited Content and Conduct
6.1. General Prohibitions You agree not to engage in any activity on the Service that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing false information, engaging in hate speech, impersonating any person or entity, or otherwise misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
6.2. Explicit Content Guidelines
- Mìlàájé maintains a strict policy against overtly explicit images or content.
- However, we may permit content that is partially explicit, provided it focuses on specific parts of an image, illustration, drawing, or text, and strictly adheres to our community standards and guidelines.
- All content, irrespective of its nature, must be clearly labeled and suitable for an 18+ audience only.
- Under no circumstances shall any content, whether fantasy, imaginative, or realistic, depict or involve children or underage individuals in any explicit, suggestive, or inappropriate scenarios. Any violation of this stringent policy will result in immediate and severe penalties, including potential legal action.
- To ensure compliance, members are strongly advised to visit our dedicated content creation guidelines located in the "Resources" section of the Service. Please select "Content Creation" to understand how to create content that aligns with our policies.
6.3. Violation Policy Your first violation of these Prohibited Content and Conduct guidelines will always result in a mandatory instruction or warning before any "jail time" (temporary suspension) is imposed. This reaffirms our commitment to providing opportunities for members to understand and comply with our standards. Repeated or severe violations may lead to immediate and permanent termination of your account.
7. Termination
Mìlàájé reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
8. Changes to Terms of Service
Mìlàájé reserves the sole right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will endeavor to provide reasonable notice of any material changes. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must cease using the Service.

- Payment Processors: Such as Paystack, to facilitate secure and efficient payment transactions.
- Data Submission Tools: Such as Formspree, for the secure submission and processing of your registration and verification data.

All user information is stored in a 5th generation maximum digital vault, employing advanced encryption and access control mechanisms to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.

Our shop operates on a unique payment and delivery system designed to give you control and ensure a seamless experience.
10. Shop
The Mìlàájé Shop offers a curated selection of products, combining community-created content with affiliated products.
10.1. Community Creative Content (Books & Movies)
- Verified members are granted the exclusive privilege to share and monetize their creative works, including books and movies, within the Shop. This serves as a potential source of recurring income for creators and establishes a centralized global marketplace for unique creative content.
- Deliveries for digital creative works are typically immediate.
- For every sale of your creative content, **Mìlàájé will retain a 27% commission** to cover platform maintenance, processing fees, and support. The remaining 73% will be paid directly to you.
- Each book or movie you submit for sale on the platform must be registered. The amount you pay for registration is the exact price you will set for your content. For a higher-priced book or movie, you will need to pay that same amount as a registration fee. We believe that if you value your content enough to pay for its registration, other like-minded individuals in our community will also be willing to pay that price to access it. However, always remember to be price competitive, as buyers usually opt for more affordably priced products.
- All sales of digital creative works are final, and no refunds are processed for these items.
10.2. Affiliated Products (AliExpress)
- Mìlàájé features a selection of affiliated products sourced primarily from AliExpress. These products are not owned or directly sold by Mìlàájé. Given the diverse needs of the LGBTQ+ community across Africa, AliExpress has been chosen for its wide product range, global delivery capabilities, security, and discreet shipping.
- When you select an affiliated product, you will be redirected to the AliExpress website or mobile application (if installed) to complete your purchase.
- For every affiliated product purchased through our platform, the Mìlàájé community earns a commission. This allows members to support the community while acquiring useful and often cost-effective products.
- Delivery times for affiliated products can range from 7 days to 2 weeks, depending on the product and location.
- Refund policies for affiliated products are subject to AliExpress's terms and conditions.
Please note that our shop only showcases selected products from AliExpress. We do not sell these products directly. Before making any purchase, we strongly encourage you to make proper enquiries about the product to ensure it meets your needs.
While we make every effort to feature only trusted sellers and quality products, we are not responsible for any issues related to your order.
10.3. How to Use the Shop
- You can search for products using the search bar or browse available items.
- Click on a product to view details and add it to your cart.
- The cart icon, located at the top right of the screen, displays your selected items and their total cost. Click on the cart to review your selections.
- Clicking anywhere else on the screen will close the cart, allowing you to proceed to checkout.

Mìlàájé exclusively uses Paystack as its primary payment gateway. Paystack is selected for its robust security features, speed, and particular suitability for transactions within Africa. All charges for our services are transparently displayed, and we do not levy any hidden fees. You will only pay the amount explicitly shown at the point of transaction.

12.1. Submitting Creative Works To submit a book or movie, navigate to the bottom navigation bar and click the "plus (+)" icon. You will be presented with options to "Submit a Book," "Submit a Movie," or "Donate." Select the appropriate option.
12.2. Creator Payments Payments to our creative content creators are processed via Payoneer and Afriex. Creators will be requested to provide their account details for these platforms when payments are due.
12.3. Donations Donations to the Mìlàájé community are entirely voluntary and at your discretion.

15.2. Content of Updates Page The Updates page is refreshed every 24 hours with news and relevant updates. While it frequently features LGBTQ+ topics and discussions, it may also include broader news and informative content.

16.2. Moderation Process While your feedback may appear immediately upon submission, it will undergo a moderation process. Our moderation team reviews all submissions for compliance with our community guidelines, ensuring no harmful or prohibited content is displayed. Honest and constructive feedback, especially positive ratings, will not be altered. In instances where feedback cannot be published due to guideline violations, we will contact you privately to explain the decision.
